Data Platform NCAR BINET Receivers
Description The NCAR bistatic receiver network (BINET) radar was deployed on the Washington coast to gather dual Doppler velocity data. It included the S-Pol radar, and two bistatic receivers on the coast, one located 30 km north of S-Pol and the other 60 km south of S-Pol. This arrangement provided dual Doppler coverage over an area confined between the two bistatic receivers and offshore within ~50 km of the coast.
