| Description | Special sondes were launched by NWS at Salem, Oregon, at 3-hourly intervals by special request from IMPROVE-2 PIs during IOPs. The data from these special launches was included in the standard operational upper-air data sent out by NWS. This archive contains not only those special sondes, but also all upper air network sondes worldwide for the entire IMPROVE-2 field study period. |
